Job summary

SDAC is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic in Oxford, MS to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC systems for a U.S. Government facility.

The role requires extensive HVAC experience, industry certifications, and the ability to work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Responsibilities include monitoring and repairing HVAC equipment, performing BAS checks, and installing system components.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working on HVAC systems.
• Extensive technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning maintenance and repairs.
• State/area-specific HVAC licensing may be required.
• Universal CFC Certification.
• NATE/KATE certifications or related technician knowledge areas.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs/replaces HVAC equipment, systems, and BAS controls.
• Completes BAS checks as required.
• Installs HVAC equipment parts and systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment (chillers, heat pumps, rooftops, etc.).
• Responds to after-hours emergencies and reports safety issues to management.
