Job summary

SDAC is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems at a U.S. Government military facility. The role focuses on safety, compliance with federal guidelines, and professional conduct.

Candidates should have 5+ years of HVAC experience, NATE and Universal CFC certifications, and be able to pass background checks. This position typically requires Monday–Friday work with potential overtime and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years HVAC experience.
  • NATE Certification (required).
  • Universal CFC Certification (required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime and on-call emergencies.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and Federal Government background check.
  • U.S. Citizen or approved registered alien.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment (RTUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, VAVs, heat pumps, split systems).
  • Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, including controls and wiring diagrams.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency after-hours requests as needed; maintain service documentation, tools, and supply inventory.
  • Support building systems including EMS, fire alarm, sprinkler, and emergency generator systems.
  • Safely lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.
  • Follow all safety, security, and site requirements.
