Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is in search for a Union Grain Laborer in Chesapeake, VA. The Grain Laborer is responsible to provide housekeeping and general labor duties throughout the grain elevator.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform routine housekeeping requirements as directed.
2. Perform other routine labor tasks as directed.
3. Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.

Preferred Education

1. High School Diploma or GED; further education is preferred.

Experience Requirements

1. TWIC application is required.
2. General industry safety knowledge.
3. Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with operating processes from a computer-based system.
4. Multi-tasking is a must.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure to temperatures (0-100 degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db), and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment, including a self-contained breathing apparatus.
