Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a UNION FOOD SERVICE WORKER at the University of Nevada, Reno. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $18.57 per hour, and you will be responsible for food preparation, presentation, and customer service.

Position: UNION FOOD SERVICE WORKER (Full Time), hiring immediately.

• Full time; schedule Mon-Fri, weekends off, holidays off.
• Fixed pay rate: $18.57 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
