Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Journeyman responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials to support other crafts on construction sites.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, tending mortar and grout, moving materials, and maintaining clean work areas while guiding junior workers and collaborating with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Completion of two-year apprenticeship program.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.

• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is $44.49 - $53.48 per hour.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
