Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Laborer Apprentice who will learn the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, tending equipment, moving and placing concrete, vibrating concrete, and maintaining a clean job site. Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program; strong teamwork and safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program
• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment including power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies

• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete

• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program
• Experience in construction preferred

The base pay range for this role is $24.74 - $42.06per hour. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
