Job summary

IHC Construction Companies, L.L.C., a long-established Chicagoland contractor, is seeking skilled carpenters for on-site work in Elgin. The role involves diverse tasks from framing to formwork, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will work outdoors and indoors, must have reliable transportation, and be able to read plans and use power tools. Union laborer experience welcome; drug testing may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read plans and layouts.
• Experience with steel/wood framing, concrete forming and placement.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Experience in treatment plant construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform carpentry tasks including framing, forming, and material handling.
• Operate power tools and equipment safely and accurately.
• Work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
