Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Union Building Engineer to monitor and optimize boiler operation and building systems. This hourly role includes shift rotation and adherence to a pre-set schedule, with responsibilities across preventive maintenance, repairs, and energy management.

The candidate will collaborate with EHS and Facilities teams to ensure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications

• Current NJ Class 1-A (Blue Seal) Steam Stationary Engineer license.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating high- pressure boilers in a utility or power facility.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and SCADA is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems to meet standards.
• Oversee boiler operations and support associated plant equipment and auxiliaries.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety policies and applicable codes and regulations.
