Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership in Carmel-by-the-Sea is seeking a friendly server assistant for a part-time, seasonal role. The position pays $18.00 per hour and requires weekend and holiday availability.

You will help pre-bus, clear and reset tables, assist servers with food and beverage requests, and maintain clean dining areas and equipment. A CA Food Handler’s Card is required.

Free on-site parking, uniform/shoe stipend, complimentary meals per shift, and additional associate perks are provided.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read, write and understand English.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and a flex schedule.
• CA Food Handler’s Card required.
• Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight.

Responsibilities

• Pre-bussing, clearing, and resetting tables during the shift.
• Assist the server with food and beverage requests, including running food orders from the kitchen.
• Ensure station, glassware, and table set‑ups are complete and ready for service; perform side duties as directed.
• Maintain dining areas and servicing equipment in clean condition.

Responsibilities

• The server assistant is responsible for pre-bussing, clearing, and resetting tables throughout the shift.
• The server assistant will assist the server with all food and beverage requests including running food orders from the kitchen.
• Ensures station, glassware, and table set‑ups are complete, replenished, and ready for service at the start of the shift and performs side duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage leadership team.
• Maintains proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and a flex schedule
• Must have CA Food Handler’s Card
• Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight.
