The Role

The Full-Time Laundry/Uniform Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, sorting, distribution, and maintenance of all resort linens and colleague uniforms. This behind-the-scenes role plays an essential part in upholding Hyatt’s cleanliness and presentation standards, contributing directly to both guest satisfaction and colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers, and finishing equipment according to established procedures
• Sort, treat, and process linens and uniforms with attention to fabric type and care requirements
• Inspect laundered items to ensure quality standards are met; identify and report any damage or excessive wear
• Maintain proper records of uniform issuance, returns, and inventory levels
• Organize and distribute clean uniforms to departments and colleagues
• Ensure the laundry and uniform areas remain clean, stocked, and organized at all times
• Respond promptly to colleague requests for uniform exchanges or alterations
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including handling of chemicals and heavy equipment
• Assist with seasonal inventory and deep-cleaning tasks as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in a hotel or resort environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Basic knowledge of laundering equipment and cleaning agents
• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
