IAT Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriting Support Associate Account Manager for our Scottsdale, AZ and Sarasota, FL offices. The role focuses on day-to-day customer service, supporting underwriters, and coordinating with agents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enter schedules into proprietary rating systems.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Prepare account service-related documents such as proposals and client communications.
• Assist in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making renewal changes.
• Document new business declines and non-renewals.
• Summarize loss runs.
• Review company correspondence for applicability to client needs.
• Answer and process internal information requests.
• Review policies, endorsements, and reporters for accuracy and compliance.
• Follow up with agencies on subjectivities and missing underwriting information.
• Ensure all required documentation is sorted and filed for easy access.
• Retrieve loss cost reports and other property rating reports as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

IAT Insurance Group has openings for Underwriting Support Associate Account Managers in our Sarasota, Florida or Scottsdale, Arizona offices. The specific title for this role (e.g. Associate, Senior, etc.) will be commensurate with the experience level of the selected candidate.

Underwriting Support Associate Account Managers provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and will act as a liaison between the organization and agents, working closely with them to ensure needs are being met.

The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing and applying computer, organizational and professional written and verbal communication skills to accurately assemble policies and meet deadlines. IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Qualifications – Must Have

• High school graduate or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred). An equivalent is defined as having 2 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and problem‑solving techniques.
• Mastery‑level PC and keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of associates and external sources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Detail‑ and action-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven production environment.
• Ability to organize, set and maintain priorities.
• Adaptability to change.
