Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
• Typically, 5+ years underwriting experience.
• Ability to analyze complex underwriting risks and pricing.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Comfort with leading and mentoring junior underwriters.

Aufgaben

• Assesses highly complex underwriting risks using diagnostic analysis.
• Develops endorsement language for complex risks.
• Determines pricing for complex risks with compliance and market awareness.
• Makes recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy.
• Prepares and presents reports on risk quality and profitability to management.
• Markets CNA products through agencies/brokers and conducts field visits.
• Maintains agency/broker relationships to achieve profitable outcomes.
• Keeps current on state/territory issues and industry trends; may join trade groups.
• Mentors underwriters to support training and development.
• Uses CNA systems for day-to-day underwriting activities.
• Leads special underwriting projects and presentations.
