Starr is seeking an Underwriting Services Technician in the United States to support underwriting and operations teams. You will assist with submissions, respond to policy and loss run requests, and help ensure accurate premium bookings with a focus on quality and speed.

The role emphasizes meticulous data handling, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced insurance environment. The position may involve coordinating with the Booking team on month-end closings and escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ownership and follow-through on multi-step tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is a plus.
• Experience in data entry in insurance/financial services/retail.
• Customer service experience in insurance or related fields is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance industry and products is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the reservation and clearance of new and renewal submissions in accordance with established procedures and quality metrics.
• Assist with the timely response to policy and loss run requests according to Starr Claims guidelines.
• Responding to questions and troubleshooting issues to ensure timely and accurate submission entry and premium bookings.
• Assisting with quality reviews of manually issued binders and invoices.
• Logging receipt of requests for endorsement of policies for record keeping purposes.
• Completing submission and payment of business invoices.
• Assisting the primary Booking team with timely completion of Month End Close or other ad hoc booking efforts.
• Fielding miscellaneous urgent tickets and hotline calls per guidelines, directing them to the appropriate individual or department.
• Performing other related work as assigned by management.
