The Public Company D&O Manager is responsible for the underwriting, management, and growth of a portfolio of publicly traded company accounts within the Central Region. The position requires subject matter expertise in Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Employment Practices Liability and serves as a key resource for clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of securities litigation trends, corporate governance practices, regulatory developments, and insurance market conditions, enabling them to deliver sound underwriting decisions and strategic risk management guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of public company D&O accounts ranging from middle-market to large-cap organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key stakeholders.
  • Lead new and renewal strategy discussions and presentations with clients and brokers.
Risk Assessment and Analysis
  • Review SEC filings, annual reports, financial statements, earnings reports, and investor communications.
  • Assess organizational governance structures and risk management practices.
  • Monitor industry sectors for emerging risks, litigation trends, and regulatory developments.
  • Analyze company financial performance and capital structure to evaluate risk profile.
Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is preferred.

Experience 7-12+ years of experience in Public Company D&O underwriting Strong understanding of securities litigation and corporate governance issues.

Skills
  • Deep knowledge of management liability insurance products; D&O, EPL & Fiduciary.
  • Experience negotiating complex insurance placements and renewals.
  • Team leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Effective decision-making in complex situations.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
