Job summary

Travelers offers a 10-week Business Insurance Underwriting Professional Development Internship Program. The internship provides hands-on underwriting experience, on-the-job training, and exposure to the property and casualty insurance industry from industry professionals.

Applicants must be pursuing or have a Bachelor's degree and be authorized to work in the U.S. Housing assistance is not provided; the program may lead to the full-time UPDP track. Rolling review of applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's degree.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Complete core assignments and training modules on insurance and underwriting principles.
• Participate in self-paced professional development courses in time management and presentation skills.
• Complete challenging projects and present findings to local leadership.
• Learn to use AI tools and platforms to assess quality and accuracy of outputs.
• Explore other Travelers functions such as Risk Control, Claims, and corporate services.
• Engage in agency visits with Account Executives and participate in Enterprise Internship events.
