Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in the United States offers a 10-week BI Underwriting Professional Development Internship Program designed to provide hands-on underwriting exposure and core training in insurance principles.

Interns work under a designated coach, complete assignments and projects, and present findings to local leadership while using modern analytical and AI tools. Housing assistance is not provided; the program runs from early June to mid-August and may lead to the full-time UPDP.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete core assignments and training modules geared toward insurance and underwriting principles.
• Participate and complete self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and other key areas.
• Complete challenging and meaningful project work over the course of this program and present findings to local leadership.
• Learn to leverage modern analytic and AI tools with critical thinking on outputs.
• Engage with Risk Control, Claims, and related corporate functions as part of the Enterprise Internship experience.
• Attend networking events and speaker series as part of the internship.
