Job summary

Guardian Life in Bethlehem, PA invites motivated undergraduates to join a 10-week paid internship that immerses you in the daily environment of a global financial services company.

From May 27, 2027 to August 6, 2027, you will engage in projects, interact with senior leaders, and network across offices while gaining real-world underwriting exposure and business insight. Housing is not provided, and the program reviews applications on a rolling basis.

Qualifications

• A high level of comfort working with math, numbers, and detailed information.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a training program to understand the Underwriter role.
• Be part of a team responsible for assessing risk and making decisions on an appropriate rate level.
• Identify and communicate trends to support key financial measures.
• Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career.
• Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
• Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
