Job summary

RLI offers a paid internship program that provides hands-on insurance experience in underwriting, risk management, and operations. Open to all majors with a preference for GPA 3.0 or higher.

Interns may travel to the Peoria, IL home office to network with interns nationwide and meet RLI leadership. Typical hours are 10-15 per week during the school year and 30+ hours per week in summer, with diverse projects across departments.

Qualifications

• Open to all majors with a GPA preference of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn across underwriting, risk management, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to assist underwriting, risk management, and operations.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to support processes.
• Prepare quotes and participate in department meetings.
• Complete project-based assignments and support the internship program.
• Travel to Peoria, IL for networking with interns and leadership when applicable.
