Highmark Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship to college students seeking hands‑on experience in underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within a healthcare/insurance setting.

Interns will work with the Labor & Education Underwriting Team, supporting new business and renewal activities, client reporting, data analysis, and tool development while building a strong foundation in financial and business decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Full or part‑time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in planning assignments and resolving day‑to‑day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry‑level professional services related to day‑to‑day objectives with guidance from senior personnel.
• Engage in projects and programs to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within your area of ability.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or proposals for action.
