Highmark Health in the United States offers the Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship to gain hands-on experience in underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within healthcare and insurance.

As part of the Labor & Education Underwriting Team, you will work with experienced underwriters on new business and renewal underwriting, participate in pricing, data analysis, and tool development projects, and build a strong foundation in professional

Qualifications

Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Assist with pricing and risk evaluation for new and renewal business.
Support client reporting activities and analyze financial and business data.
Participate in projects to enhance underwriting tools and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Gain exposure to underwriting decisions and their impact on growth and profitability.
Build foundational skills in financial and business decision-making.
Engage in mentorship and project-based learning to develop professional competencies.
