CNA Insurance in Boston or other offices seeks a Large Account Primary Casualty Underwriter to manage a diverse book across Manufacturing, Distributors, Education, Real Estate, Technology, Wholesale, Retail and Service classes. The role emphasizes new business production, loss-sensitive underwriting, and pricing strategies within our standards.

Our team of Large Account Primary Casualty Underwriters are high level individual contributors responsible for overall management, business development, growth and profitability of a book of Large Account Casualty business spanning a wide range of industry segments and revenue bands (Manufacturing, Distributors, Education, Real Estate, Technology, Wholesale, Retail, Service classes). This position will have a heavy emphasis on new business production of risk management primary casualty accounts utilizing our Standard Lines operating model focusing on underwriting performance, exposure-based pricing, and building strong producer and customer relationships. This position may be located from our offices in either Philadelphia, Boston or New York City. You will be required to have loss sensitive experience within the large account casualty (Primary) space and work four days per week market facing.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
