Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite risk for the lifecycle from submission through policy issuance within limited authority.
• Partner with Underwriters on all aspects of the underwriting function and provide necessary information for prudent decisions.
• Perform underwriting analysis and documentation to determine risk acceptability per guidelines for renewal and new business.
• Handle endorsement requests within delegated authority and refer others as needed.
• Manage renewal book within authority; triage applications and outline changes for accounts outside authority.
• Collaborate with branch/CNA to resolve issues (billing, risk control, guidance).
• Document files ensuring completeness, compliance, and quality of correspondence and proposals.
• Execute advanced pricing strategy on behalf of the Underwriter and document rationale.
• Complete quote proposals and negotiate with external partners within authority.
• Serve as first-line contact to producers/customers on account-related matters and identify upsell opportunities.
• Assist in marketing products through external partners and field visits.
• Be an expert on systems/workflows; train and coach others, and channel feedback to underwriting partners.
• Stay current on line of business strategy, state/territory issues, regulations and trends.
