Job summary

Berkley Environmental in Philadelphia is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support underwriters with quoting, rating and issuance of new business, quotes, renewals and endorsements. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of commercial insurance experience, familiarity with policy issuance systems, multi-line rating, and proficient MS Office skills; experience in a paperless environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support underwriters with quoting, rating and issuance of new business.
• Process quotes, renewals and endorsements within policy issuance system.
• Perform admin duties such as scanning documents and entering Proof of Coverage.
• Ensure endorsements and policies are processed accurately and remitted to broker timely.
• Solicit renewal applications from the broker and respond to requests as needed.
