Job summary

CrossCover Insurance Services is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team with quoting and binding policies and managing the book of business. Key duties include preparing submissions for underwriters, organizing account files, and handling administrative tasks such as creating binders, policies, and endorsements for brokers, while coordinating inspections and loss runs as needed.

• High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Clear and assign submissions to Underwriters in CoverIT.
• Prepare account files for the Underwriters to quote.
• Create documentation (Binders, Policies, Endorsements) to be sent to Brokers.
• Order inspections.
• Request Loss Runs.
• Other duties as assigned by Underwriters.
