Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group in Morristown, NJ, a Brown & Brown entity, seeks an Underwriter Support professional to gather information, complete applications, and issue quotes and binders in writing. You will assist sales and production, issue renewals, review risks with underwriters, and become proficient with agency management software while reviewing inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain required information and complete applications; issue quotes and binders in writing.
  • Ensure policies are issued promptly and accurately; handle state filings and taxes.
  • Provide support for sales and production; supply new business quotes as needed.
  • Issue renewals and review risks with Underwriter; review submissions for accuracy.
  • Familiarize with agency management software and suggest improvements.
  • Order and review inspections; verify exposures and underwriting compliance.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance.

How You Will Contribute
  • Work with Underwriter, ensuring that all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and taxes paid in accordance with appropriate state laws.
  • Provide full assistance and support for the sales and production process; including, but not limited to, providing new business quotes as needed.
  • Issuance of renewals.
  • Work with Underwriter when reviewing risks submitted by Producers, rate submissions for premium and terms, and issue written binders.
  • Review indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness and a high degree of accuracy including forms and editions.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with the use of all agency management software systems and suggest labor saving uses to management.
  • Order and review inspections. This duty requires the ability to identify the different exposures of risks, verify information obtained on inspection with the information on policy for accuracy and verification of underwriting guidelines.
  • Issuance of Certificates of Insurance.

Pay Range

$24.03 - $28.84 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
