Job summary

SWBC is seeking a talented individual that will be responsible for designing and pricing payment protection programs, conducting profitability and regulatory analyses, and supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of underwriting and sales support operations.

This role ensures compliance with multi-state regulations and contributes to the financial performance of SWBC Life Insurance Company, SWBC Property and Casualty Insurance Company and administered programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from an accredited college.
• Minimum of 3 years professional underwriting or analytics experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Credit Life & Disability Insurance and Debt Cancellation coverage.
• Familiarity with life insurance regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and price Debt Cancellation and Credit Insurance proposals.
• Conduct account profitability analyses for payment protection programs.
• Prepare experience rating refunds and profit share calculations.
• Maintain a state-by-state library of policy equipment and rates.
• Analyze ongoing profitability of accounts and drive process improvements.
• Review monthly outstanding balance reports and verify account parameters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve underwriting and compliance issues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Essential duties include the following:

• Design and price Debt Cancellation and Credit Insurance proposals.
• Conduct account profitability analyses for payment protection programs.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in underwriting, sales, or related analytical roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical skills.
• Knowledge of Credit Life & Disability Insurance and Debt Cancellation coverage.
• Familiarity with life insurance regulations and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with automated sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce.com) preferred.
• Able to use basic office equipment (copy machine, PC, fax).
• Able to type at least 40 WPM.
• Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
• Able to sit for long periods and perform sedentary activities.
• Able to stand, stoop, and kneel for filing tasks.
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs.
