You will review bank statements, tax returns, credit information, and other documents, prepare concise, evidence-based evaluations, and collaborate with sales to obtain complete documentation while protecting sensitive information.

Qualifications

The Underwriting Analyst evaluates business funding applications by analyzing financial data, assessing risk, and making recommendations to funding providers in our network.

About the role

The Underwriting Analyst prepares clear, evidence-based evaluations of commercial financing applications for independent providers in our network. You will review bank activity, tax returns, credit information, and other business documents; identify patterns or gaps; and summarize relevant strengths, risks, and outstanding questions without making unsupported assumptions.

You will collaborate with sales and operations to obtain complete documentation, maintain a reliable audit trail, and present findings in a format providers can assess efficiently. The work requires financial fluency, careful handling of sensitive information, consistent application of internal procedures, and the judgment to escalat unusual or incomplete files.
