Job summary

Everest Global Services, Inc. is offering a 2027 Underwriter Summer Internship Program. This hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) provides exposure to Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through training, real-world projects, and interactions with top industry professionals.

The 10-week program runs June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027, with compensation of $800–$1,000 weekly. Benefits include health insurance, 401k match, paid holidays, and PTO, among others.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
• Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support the casualty and property underwriting teams in day-to-day activities.
• Meet with brokers as part of the internship program.
• Assist in pre-qualification of deals and provide summaries to underwriting.
• Classify submissions in tracking/analytics for reporting.
• Shadow underwriters for information gathering and exposure analysis.
• Monitor rate change reports and account tracking reports.
