Bass Underwriters, Inc. is looking for an Underwriter Assistant in Charleston, SC to support underwriting by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, creating quotes, and processing new and renewal business.

No insurance experience is required; Bass Underwriters will provide tools and mentorship to help you succeed. This role offers a growth path into underwriting with opportunities for bonus and advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management & Insurance or other related major or experience preferred
• Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Must be able to prioritize and be responsive to complex issues
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate various websites and databases
