Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our team in Stockton, CA. Under guidance of the Internal Operations Leader, you will support underwriting practices and help maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities include processing 59-day notices, tax filings, carrier reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in the underwriting process. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in data handling and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriting and accounting teams in processing 59-day notices and related tasks.
• Handle surplus lines tax filing queries and audits in the management system.
• Process audit tax filings and ensure accuracy of filings.
• Reconcile binding subjectivities and requirements with carriers and files.
• Support overall underwriting operations to maintain process integrity.

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our growing team in Stockton, CA!

Under guidance of the Internal Operations Leader, the Underwriter Assistant's primary responsibilities include carrying out direction of underwriting assistant functions to provide support and integrity of underwriting practices.

How You Will Contribute:

• Manage internal 59-day list, assist Underwriting and Accounting teams in processing 59-day notices.
• Management of surplus lines tax filing queries.
• Process Audit tax filings within management system.
• Carrier reconciliation: Processing system corrections (commission, market provider, etc.), direct bill invoicing, processing of AOR/BOR requests.
• Reconcile binding subjectivities and requirements.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Minimum Education required; HS diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar administrative support position.

Preferred:

• P&C State Licensed.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline.
