Base pay range

90,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr

RealRepp, a nationally recognized full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a stable and growing healthcare insurance company to assist in hiring a skilled Underwriter to join their team remotely! This Underwriter will price, quote, and analyze the structure of a contract and policy for a group employer based on group demographics, medical questionnaires, claims experience, and other characteristics of each unique risk.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a book of business of renewing accounts and writing new business at profitable levels for overall business targets or assigned volume of new applications or RFPs
• Analyze data such as financial conditions
• Prepares a variety of reports and provides rationale and support to other areas within the organization
• Provides expense estimates and accurate analysis of financial exhibits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or other quantitative analysis discipline or 4 + years of relevant experience
• 2 - 3 years in Underwriting self-funded or Small Group
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting software
