Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group near Quonset, Rhode Island, seeks a Manufacturing Technician with strong electromechanical foundations to help build Underwater Autonomous Vehicles. You will collaborate with engineers to assemble, install, test, and repair mechanical and electrical components for AUVs.

Position is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, for a 6-month contract with potential extension. Automotive, marine, aerospace, or industrial assembly experience is a fit; prior defense experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong electromechanical foundations and hands-on assembly experience.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical components in industrial settings.
• Background in automotive, marine, aerospace, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Prior or current military/defense experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and technicians to build and assemble AUVs.
• Build, install, and test mechanical and electrical components.
• Install and repair cables and wiring harnesses.
• Build jigs and fixtures to support assembly and testing.
• Fabricate and modify parts as needed.
• Support AUV builds from development through production and provide feedback to engineers.
• Help create and improve assembly procedures.
• Keep manufacturing work areas organized and maintained.
• Travel offshore occasionally to support testing and field operations.

Our client near Quonset Rhode Island is seeking a Manufacutring Technician that has strong electromechanical foundations that will help build Underwater Autonomous Vehicles.

Candidates with mechanical or assembly experience with automotive, marine, aerospace, or industrial equipment are an excellent fitPrior or Current Military or Defense Experience is desirable but not required.

Pay Rates are $25-40/hr depending on prior experience.

This role is 100% onsite Monday-Friday.

This is a 6 month contract that will likely extend long term.
