Job summary

People, Technology & Processes seeks a Life Support Technician/ U/W Dive Propulsion, Navigation, Communication Specialist in the United States. You will maintain Diver Propulsion Devices and underwater navigation/communication gear, train Dive Locker personnel, and ensure SHIELD systems are ready for operations.

You must have five years as a certified 5342/MDV1 diver, NAVEDTRA 43, and a SECRET clearance. Expect travel for maintenance, training, and compliance with NOSSA procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have five years as a certified 5342/MDV1 diver.
• Factory-trained in underwater navigation, propulsion and communication systems.
• Certifications in 3M Maintenance, QA, and Work Center Supervisor.
• Active SECRET clearance and DoD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Diver Propulsion Devices and underwater navigation/communication gear.
• Maintain navigation and communication systems and related ancillary gear per manuals.
• Provide training to Dive Locker personnel and end users (topside and in water).
• Maintain SHIELD systems and train staff.
• Communicate changes and improvements to the chain of command.
• Conduct inventories of SOF items in DPAS and maintain accountability.
• Obtain factory-trained certifications for underwater systems.
• Travel as required for maintenance and training.
• Handle lithium battery storage and transport per procedures.
• Adhere to NOSSA transport, stowage, and operation rules.
• Operate a PC with MS Office and maintain clear written communications.
• Hold a valid state driver’s license.
