Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. seeks an Engineer-Diver in Columbia, Maryland to combine civil/structural engineering with commercial diving. You will inspect underwater and topside structures, assess conditions, and prepare inspection reports with recommendations.

The role involves field and office work, regional travel, and opportunities to develop expertise in underwater and bridge inspection. Open water diving experience is required and relocation is available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
EIT or ability to obtain within one year is required.
Open water diving experience required.
ADCI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs waterfront and underwater and topside bridge inspections.
Assists in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
Reviews and interprets plans and design drawings.
Documents findings and assists in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
Supports development of maintenance or repair recommendations.
Collaborates with senior engineers/technicians on inspections.
Occasional travel to project sites.
