Job summary

Barone Consulting LLC seeks a Systems & Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy an undersea GEOINT enterprise application and supporting services. You will translate requirements into secure, scalable software solutions and work across systems engineering and software development to ensure interoperability and rapid operational transition.

This role emphasizes building APIs, data processing workflows, automation, and collaborative delivery with government engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise software using Python, Java, C++, C#, or Go.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and distributed software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software for the undersea GEOINT application.
• Translate system requirements into software architecture, components, APIs, and data services.
• Develop software supporting ingestion, processing, fusion, visualization, and dissemination of undersea GEOINT data.
• Implement scalable architectures for enterprise deployment and future capability expansion.
• Support software integration across multiple enterprise systems, databases, and geospatial services.
• Develop automated unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and software validation procedures.
• Participate in system integration, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and software verification activities.
• Support DevSecOps practices including configuration management, CI/CD integration.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to maintain traceability and verification.
