Job summary

Barone Consulting LLC seeks a Secure Software Engineer to design, develop, and sustain an enterprise IV&V platform evaluating GEOINT products, including imagery and 3D datasets. You will build secure, scalable software that automates quality assessment, metric generation, visualization, and reporting.

You will work with Cloud & DevOps, system engineers, and government stakeholders to implement services, APIs, and automated tests while ensuring cybersecurity is integrated throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 9+ years of experience, or Master's with 7+ years.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software with Python, Java, C++, C#, or Go.
• Web applications, RESTful APIs, backend services, and UI components experience.
• Secure software development practices and secure coding standards experience.
• Agile development, version control, and continuous integration experience.
• Database integration with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Automated testing, software verification, and QA framework experience.
• Git/GitHub/GitLab proficiency and DevSecOps collaboration.
• Cybersecurity principles including authentication, encryption, logging, and auditing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software for IV&V platform.
• Develop secure services, RESTful APIs, UI components, and backend systems.
• Automate GEOINT evaluation workflows, metric generation, and reporting.
• Handle ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval of GEOINT data sources.
• Apply secure SDLC practices, perform threat-informed design, and automated testing.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities via static/dynamic analysis and pen testing.
• Integrate authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with Cloud & DevOps to support containers, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Develop automated unit/integration/regression tests and validation frameworks.
• Prepare technical documentation and support RMF/ATO activities.
