Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 2+ years in hospital billing, revenue cycle, or data analytics.
• Organized and analytical self-starter with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong communicator with verbal and written communication to document work.
• Strong math skills with emphasis on complex equations.
• Proficient with computers and technology.
• Willingness to complete 1-week onsite training at R1 office.

Responsibilities

• Validate and review hospital accounts to confirm reimbursement opportunities.
• Research accounts in client systems and payer portals using R1 software.
• Evaluate calculated reimbursements and determine actions to resolve underpayments.
• Document accounts with details to support appeals and resolutions.
• Diagnose root causes of underpayment and prevention options.
• Meet production, accuracy, and efficiency benchmarks.
