Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior underground utility or site construction experience.
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read construction plans.
• Drivers license with clean record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Physically demanding work with lifting and bending.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of underground water and sewer mains.
• Perform excavation, trenching, bedding and backfilling.
• Install water and sewer pipe, fittings, hydrants, and valves.
• Assist with tie-ins and testing procedures.
• Read and interpret construction plans and layouts.
• Communicate issues to Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Support with utility locating and site restoration.
