Job summary

Crisdel Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to install underground pipelines for water, sanitary and storm systems in Lakeland, Florida.

Reporting to the Foreman, you will prepare and lay out pipe routes and coordinate with the supervisor to ensure accurate alignment and on-time completion. Responsibilities include cutting pipes, aligning sections for welding or sealing, checking slopes, and connecting joints using welding equipment, cement or adhesive.

• Valid driver\'s license issued within the United States clear of multiple and/or major violations.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen and motor vehicle records check; a criminal background check will also be conducted.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
• Physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting a minimum of 45 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of utilizing hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor.
• Cutting pipes to required lengths.
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
• Aligning and positioning pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
• Checking slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
• Connecting pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
• Tapping and drilling holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
• Covering pipes with earth or other materials.
• Grading and leveling trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Training others in pipe-laying techniques.
• Other general labor and construction related duties as required.
