Job summary

Underground Solutions is hiring for full-time field technicians in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves outdoor installation duties, operating trenching and related equipment, and meeting production goals while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively in English, can lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and hold a valid driver’s license. DOT drug testing is required; home every week with potential overtime.

Duties

• Operate equipment to dig trenches for utility burial such as:
• Vibratory plows
• Directional drills
• Vacs
• Mini excavators
• various other equipment
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
• A normal work week will consist of a four (4) day week, with at least ten (10) hours a day.*
• No weekends
• Steady overtime
• Some travel may be required
• Always home at the end of the week

*Production demands will occasionally necessitate working additional hours or a partial 5th day.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

• Communicate effectively in English.
• Repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects of at least 50 pounds.
• Climb ladders and work at heights as required.
• Sit, stand, and walk for periods of time.
• Pass DOT pre-employment Drug Test*
• Maintain a Valid Driver\'s License at all times
• Work independently or as part of a team

*Random testing is possible in all positions

Preferred but not required skills:

• Attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of underground utilities
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation
