Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC is seeking a Locator to mark underground utilities with flags and paint, helping ensure safe and efficient projects. You’ll operate detection equipment, read maps, document locates, and respond to excavation notices, working with excavators, utility representatives, and staff.

You must be at least 18, authorized to work in the U.S., have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark utilities with guidance from Locators.
• Read utility maps to locate underground utilities accurately.
• Document all locates.
• Respond promptly to excavation notices.
• Communicate with excavators, utility representatives, and staff.
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary.
• Work overtime, travel, and on-call/afterhours as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
