Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC is seeking an entry-level Utility Line Locator in Alpharetta, GA. You will operate detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities, read maps, and document all locates while coordinating with excavators and utility representatives.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a valid US work authorization and a high school diploma or GED. You\'ll join a team that values safety, reliability, and on-call responsibilities in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid State driver\'s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities, seeking guidance from experienced Locators as needed.
• Read utility maps to find underground utilities correctly.
• Document all locates.
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices.
• Communicate well with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff.
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

What you’ll need

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs
