Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking Locate Technicians to accurately locate underground facilities and document locations across varied terrains and weather. You will observe, mark, and verify utility locations using multiple methods and work under supervision or in a team environment.

Candidates must pass a background check and a DOT drug test, hold a state-issued driver’s license, and be able to lift over 50 lbs. The role starts with company-provided tools and offers full-time benefits including health,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State issued driver’s license.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Vacuum truck experience A+
• Ability to lift over 50lbs
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day
• Excellent communication skills needed
• Ability to read and interpret prints at a high level
• Pass a Background screening (no violations within the last 5 years)
• Pass a DOT drug test

Responsibilities

• Locates underground facilities by using a transmitter and connecting to buried facilities, pedestals, etc.
• Works in varied terrains and weather conditions in construction zones, residential, commercial, industrial, and rural areas.
• Interprets job order tickets, blueprints and maps to efficiently route and perform duties.
• Performs locates and emergency/on-call locates during regular, overtime and holiday hours as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with customers, co-employees and third parties to maintain a damage-free environment.
• Communicates with management, contractors and utility customers to coordinate activities.
