Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking a Locate Technician to accurately identify underground utilities including telephone, electric, gas, water, fiber, and telecom lines. You will observe, mark, and document locations while working independently or in a team under supervision.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50lbs, and passing a background check and a DOT drug test. Benefits are provided for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State issued driver's license is required.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher prints.
• Pass a Background screening (no violations within the last 5 years).
• Pass a DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground facilities by using a transmitter and connecting to buried utilities.
• Works in diverse terrains and weather conditions across multiple sites.
• Interprets job orders, blueprints, and maps to route and perform duties.
• Performs locates and on-call locates during regular, overtime and holiday hours as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with customers, coworkers, and third parties to ensure a damage-free environment.
• Coordinates with management, contractors, and utility customers as needed.
