GridHawk is seeking a detail-oriented Locate Technician in Grand Ledge, MI to identify and mark underground utilities for safe excavation and construction activities.

The role requires interpreting maps/blueprints, using GPR, EM locators, and GPS devices, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Outdoor work and travel within the Grand Ledge area may be required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in utility locating or construction preferred.
• Ability to read maps, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to locate requests and accurately identify underground utilities.
• Use ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic locators, and GPS devices.
• Interpret maps and blueprints to locate underground infrastructure.
• Communicate with contractors, utility companies, and customers.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent utility damage and injuries.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.
