N&S LOCATING SERVICES d.b.a. S&N is seeking a Locate Technician to accurately identify and mark underground utilities to support safe excavation and construction. You will perform site surveys, interpret maps and blueprints, operate electronic locating equipment and GPS devices, and collaborate with construction teams while following safety standards. The role requires detail orientation and a commitment to safety across varying outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in utility locating or related field.
• Experience with maps and blueprints.
• Experience with electronic locating equipment and GPS technology.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to identify and mark underground utilities.
• Interpret utility maps and blueprints for precise locations.
• Communicate with construction teams to relay locations.
• Maintain records of markings and surveys for compliance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures on site.
• Respond to emergency locate requests as needed.
• Provide training to junior technicians when required.
