Job summary

Inframark in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a Utility Locator to identify and mark gas, water, and sewer lines. You will reference prints, use locating equipment, and work in varied terrain and weather while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and 1 year utility location experience (or 2–3 years water/wastewater background). Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year utility location experience and/or 2–3 years water/wastewater experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required; C Operator Distribution/Collection System Operator license preferred or C Operator Water/Wastewater License.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with tablet and mobile devices.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations & Utility SOPs.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground utility lines as specified by the client.
• Interprets job orders, emails, calls, blueprints and maps to plan routes and duties.
• Uses utility maps, as-built drawings, GIS information and locating equipment.
• Marks locations using stakes, flags or paint.
• Prepares reports and documentation of work and issues encountered.
• Notifies city departments of updates and corrections as needed.
• Operates company vehicle safely and according to policy.
• Performs all-weather work, including after-hours as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
