Job summary

USIC, America’s leader in underground utility damage prevention, seeks a Locator in Flint, MI for full-time field work locating utilities and marking locations with company-provided equipment. Daytime shifts, with overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed, are common.

You’ll use a company vehicle and ticketing system to ensure accurate marks at each site. No prior locating experience is required, but a safety-minded, problem-solving mindset helps.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field equipment.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Strong communication with team, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and accurately in a designated area.
• Mark locations and document findings with required documentation.
• Photograph each locate and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Workday shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
