Our Underground Utility Locators are responsible, self-motivated individuals who enjoy the freedom of working outdoors. We will train the right individual who is committed to safety, comfortable working on their own, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in completing a job well done.

Our Underground Utility Locators drive a company vehicle to job sites and use computer utility maps along with specialized equipment to find underground cables, pipes, and other utilities to prevent damages and ensure safety within the excavation, landscaping, and construction community.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Drive a company vehicle from home to job sites in response to routine requests, emergencies, and relocations.
2. Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities such as electric, gas, telephone, and communication lines.
3. Indicate utility locations using paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
4. Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs as per rotation schedule.

Physical Demands

Employees regularly:

• get in and out of a vehicle over 50 times a day
• stand and walk over a mile on uneven terrain
