Job summary

A utility locating service company in Salina, Kansas is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. Candidates will benefit from 100% paid training and must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Responsibilities include the use of specialized technology to safely locate utilities, effective communication with peers and homeowners, and maintaining a flexible schedule. A high school diploma and valid driver license are required for these roles.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop computer to receive, document and process tickets.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.

Skills

Ability to problem solve with speed and accuracy

Effective communication

Ability to read maps and interpret blueprints

Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day
